Grand Knights Report – February 28, 2008

1. I took the two cases of Sausage Patties left over from our Dec. Pancake

breakfast to Port St. Vincent homeless shelter for men. They send their thanks.

2. First Degree Exemplification Feb. 4th 7:00 in the Holy Mother of Consolation

School building went well. Our Degree Team installed three new Knights. Their

Names are: Brian Swenson, Michael Phillips and Richard Hackner. Welcome!

3. Proposed Future 1st Degree dates: June 9, 2008, Oct. 13, 2008, and Jan. 26, 2009.

4. We are starting to take applications for our 2008 Scholarships. Please go to our

Website at www.hmckofc.org for further information and forms.

5. Maranda Ricker 15, won the District Level Free Throw Competition and is

going to the Diocesan level March 29th. It will be at, 207 Maple St. in Sauk

Prairie. The State Competition will be April 12th @ Wisconsin Rapids

Assumption High School.

6. New Eagle Scout Brad Wille’s Award Presentation will be at this meeting.

7. I have received four completed Wisconsin State Charity request forms and one

who did not wish to apply for the money. I took the four completed applications

over to the State council office in Madison to be forwarded to the State Charity

Committee. I received word from Jim Vogt that the four that I sent in will be

receiving $1500.00 each. There are still two who have not responded back to me.

8. We now have the beginning of our Service Personnel Program. Ray Antoniewicz

Community Director, Jim Staniforth: Membership Director, Al Russell:

Program Director, Dan Krause: Youth Director, Paul Sever: Right to life

Chairman, Dick Rydecki: Public Relation Chairman, and Mark Kornos: Health

Services chairman. There are many other positions to be filled. Please phone me

9. The History book has been sent in. Jim Staniforth has put many days and nights

into it and deserves a big hand for his efforts.

10. I want to thank Jim Vogt for getting our First Degree Exemplification on Track.

11. Mid-December I sent out 600 KC Raffle tickets, 10 to ea. of our Knights. That

was two months ago. Last year our Revenue from our tickets was $2653.19.

These funds allowed use to give Oregon Special Olympics and Oregon Special

Education $923.30 ea. and a check for $432.00 for our council Charity fund. At

this point in time I have Received and sent in a Total of $605.00 to the state.

That’s only 121 tickets. What happened to the rest of them. I think Maynard has

already sold 40 by himself. Come to this meeting and you can see the letter we

got from special Olympics and what this money means to them.

12. Mar. 27, our next Council Meeting.

1. Presentation of Eagle Scout Award to Brad Wille.

2. Introduce new members:

            Brian Swenson, Michael Phillips and Richard Hackner.

Unfinished Business

1. Collection of Unpaid $36.00 dues.

2. Replace existing Membership Rosters with Rosters Revised 1/14/08.

3. We still need a Recorder to replace Rex.

4. Flood Victims update. See GK Report.

5. State Raffle Tickets sales for 2nd quarter. $ ?
